Matching governments’ migration politics and refugees’ goals is crucial to make the integration process effective and guarantee the full protection of human rights. Despite international agreements (e.g. the Geneva Convention) giving full protection and rights to refugees and establishing a common approach that states should apply, migrants’ position can vary among countries due to governments’ political beliefs that result in different migration politics. It, therefore, is important to create deep, real integration into the host country’s social and economic structures.
