STEP 1: Why is it important?
The podcast is about the importance of addressing class composition when working with refugees. In order to put together a class in a meaningful way, it is important to have as much information as possible about the target group. In some cases it makes sense to have a group that is as homogeneous as possible, for example in terms of language skills. In other cases, however, heterogeneous groups can provide a better learning environment.
Main Goals:
- To add transparency to the class data
- To capture the student skills
- To support the choice of the learning methods
- To support a peaceful class climate
